One of our exciting pieces of news for the year is that we're moving into our own house! It's in Duvall, WA and we're moving in around Aug 9th.

Finding the place was an interesting story. We actually started our search in Duvall, but decided it was a little bit too far out from Mike's work to be practical. We probably looked at around 100 houses all around Seattle's east side (Redmond, Bellevue, Woodinville, Sammamish, Issaquah...) before we found this one. We had made offers on others, but the market was just insane. People were overbidding by $20k, or offering cash.

Megan's first requirement was that the house get lots of light. (Mike's first requirement was to make Megan happy) This house does get light when there is light in Seattle. It will give some room for gardening and lawns. It could be a good neighborhood for a pet evil kitty to prowl. It's a decent size and it's not next to a loud road. All around, that's pretty good.

We're really excited, and will be spending the next couple of weeks packing. Fun times!
